Friendly ties depicts the friendships that I’ve cultivated over the last year — since the pandemic left me suffering from isolation in an hyper-connected world. To counter-act the limits and distortions of virtual communication, I vowed to foster in-person social ties across various communities — ie. at the level of my neighbourhood, my region, my land of origin, and the shores beyond.
